I see on the PC Gamer feed that EA is rolling out a new night ops map and general update for BF4 on Tuesday.

Thats what I hear but last few times I played BF4,the damn flash bangs were bad enough in the daytime....just imagine them in the dark.
They would give me bad headaches from playing after the last patch and I honestly havent wanted to play it since.
Just not fun like that.

But the night time game footage I did see a while back looked good,but from the looks flash lights,flash bangs,and IR scopes will rule.

They had a Live play feed (Twitch TV) today and specifically mentioned the flash bangs. They have narrowed the cone (should decrease brightness) and duration time has been cut down so that they will not last as long. The game-play showed that there are still quite a few lights in/around buildings, however, they are destructible and did not last long. It quickly went to IR/FLIR scopes, looked pretty good. Apparently the servers will be updated @ 0200 Pacific time, so will update game and try it out in the morning. (hopefully the accompanying tweaks to weapons and "netcode" will get things sorted out, especially the damn shotties!)

Just played a couple rounds on it. Had a lot of fun. Different play style for sure.

One problem you may have is that you have to purchase the DLC from origin before you can play it. It is free and not in the summer patch that auto installs.
