I think that we need a meeting or something about the on coming game coming out BF5 to find out if we are going to host a server or not.

Choose a time and promote it in the TeamSpeak welcome message - seems to be the only thing people notice any more ...

Are they actually going to have Dedicated Servers this time or more their BS Servers?

No one wanted to spend money on EA's BS servers!

BF1 has severs I am sure that BF5 does to I think maybe we should get a get together in Sept how do you all feel about that?

Getting together is not an issue.

The issue with BF1 was that you would pay all that money and have very limited control over your own server. Basically, you are renting a server from EA but they maintain control. That's why we did not get a BF1 server.

Talking about it never hurts though.

Discussion sounds good, let's set a date as Roger suggested in Sept, maybe after the Beta (late August?) more info on game servers will be released.
Halenio has a BF1 server rented right now, he can perhaps inform us of what controls are available. EA/Dice has been increasing control and there are more and more "Community" rented servers in the browser.

Beta I think is set for sometime in Dec. Release is Oct 19th, I think.
If I remember right we didnt know much about BF1 servers until very close to release or possibly even after release.

As for geezers that play BF1, if thats all there is in bf5 then I dont even think it would be worth the cost. Most that play with the very few gzr's that still play are the PS guys. Unless a bunch come back since BF1 was a bit of a let down for most.

A meeting would be good so we could solicit donations to Geezer from all those that can afford and use TS and any of our servers.

Twitch how is it the beta is release in dec but the game out in OCT? I think sometimes we need to adjust to the server settings just to try to recruit new members.I would say Sept is a good month for a meeting? The reason BF1 is not played because the game sucks...LOL

All games that we had on OUR box before were voted on by the Geezers. If they were approved by a majority, then all Geezers supported them monetarily whether they played them or not.

However, as it stands, there are only about 4-5 of us that consistently donate monies. We have some Geezers that as far as I can tell, have never donated anything. We have a couple of Geezers that donate once in a great while and one or two pubbers that have donated in the past.

As the info above shows, there are lots of people riding on the backs of the 4-5 and I for one am getting a very sore back!
