Sick daughter

I know I am new and have been sporadic for the last week or so.

My 16 year old daughter is sick and has been in and out of the ER, local hospital and Children's Hospital for the last 10 days. She is being taken by ambulance today back to Children's Hospital in Little Rock AR and we we hopefully get the specialist to see her that are not available locally and get this thing figured out. Intense stomach pain, nausea and vomiting, will be fine on liquids and ok on soft food for 45 mins before it all starts over pain at a 12 on a scale of 1 to 10 with uncontrollable retching and then they have to hit her with Dilaudid, Morphine, Tordal, Zofran, Compazine etc.. just to get it to stop, then she is fine until she has to eat again. Was diagnosed at Children's earlier in the week with "Abdominal Migraines"...yeah I had never heard of it but is a long history of migraines in our family on both sides. It was a diagnosis of exclusion meaning it fit the symptoms but no way to know. I don't think that is it as it keeps happening, it could be anything she has had a ton of tests that all came back negative, afraid exploratory surgery may be last option. I may pop in from time to time but until this is all settled I probably won't be around much.

Dang Tallin, poor girl.

Hopefully the new Drs./Specialists can get this thing figured out and get her well quickly so she, you the wife and whole family can get back to your normal routines.

Will keep all of you thought and prayer.

Get her taken care of, we aren't going anywhere and will be here when you get back. Keep us informed on her progress would ya? It's frustrating to NOT have answers when a loved one is in so much discomfort.

From my wife's kindle 1:47am. I am on overwatch.

Ended up getting worse on Tuesday and was flown via Angel One to children's hospital in little rock.

Still trying to figure out what's going on. Went through 15 hours of straight of vomiting even with IV pain meds and 6 IV anti nausea meds on board. X-Ray s clear. Egd done today clear. Tube placed to clean out stomach and push some med past stomach to clean her out. On IV nutrition since not held anything down for 6 days now. Finally resting somewhat with enough meds to down a rhino.

Seeing more specialists tomorrow hope to get some answers.

So sorry your daughter, you and wife have no relief yet! Very anxious times when NOT KNOWING can drive you crazy!

Prayers that they find the answer soon and get on with treating it. Keeping you and yours in thought and prayer.

Did a little better today. Still not sure what is wrong. Going for another test in the morning if she is cleaned out enough. Hoping to get oversized ng tube out after test as I think it contributes to her nausea. For now wife and daughter are sleeping and that's a step in the right direction.
