Looks like Battlefield VI coming out this fall - anyone heard anything yet? Screenshots?

There are a lot of potential leaks on You Tube about Battle Field (the word is back to basics for Title). The rumours are up 128 players, cross platform games, major devastation, etc... Also, there was one saying possible trailer/info this week (It is Friday , so?)

Will keep an eye out for more info.

The goal stated is for Oct or Nov release. We will find out more with the trailer in June and an Alpha and open Beta in the summer.

The trailer dropped today Battlefield 2042 and comments from folks who were at a pre-release meeting (Jack Frags had good description- https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YN1wwnN0CF0 ). The trailer was very good, I bought it today. Release is 22 OCT and Gold purchase gets tidbits and access on 15 OCT .

Any mention of how "Play" will be handled? Dedicated servers, servers from them/online play.
Seems online play is the way most developers are going.
I doubt I will get it unless they can convince me it is more than a run and gun with different maps, weapons and scenery.

If it is dedicated box and everyone expects to put it on our box, then donations had better pick up drastically. I say this because I know many did not want to contribute because we were not offering anything they played. I strongly feel that this, IF the game supports dedicated servers, will be "Premium" and we would have to pay extra per slot as in the past.
I have been strongly mulling over the thought of getting rid of the box. I appreciate Benjie and Scorpio for helping support the cost every single month, but it should NOT be left to only three of us to keep our word on supporting the cost of keeping Geezer Gaming alive!

Which version did you pre-order, Benjie? Looks like you have to get the $89 version to get the week early access. The standard version is $60, and I may get that. It looks fun, but it has controllable Mechs like Battlefield 2142, which I never played. At least these aren't floating.

I got the Ultimate game, you need at least the Gold to get early access to Beta testing. They are planning an Alpha test in early July for folks who are invited and sign a NDA.

It is available via Origin or Steam and Epic.
The servers are On Line for 128 players for PC and New Consoles. There will be 64 player games for older consoles. There will be some cross platform play available. No word yet on Community servers or variations. There will be no single player with this game. They plan on using AI players to get the numbers up for the 128 player servers and you can by your self or with friends start a server with AI players for practice.

It is more than likely the Box is of little or no use to us. Not many folks using TS either, might be time for Discord.
